A theoretical model is presented to study the elastic deformation process and frictional sliding behavior in single piezoelectric
fibre push-out tests. Based on the theoretical model and some necessary simplifications, stress and electric fields are obtained
for push-out tests of a circular piezoelectric fibre embedded in an elastic matrix. Numerical results of a piezoelectric fibre/expoxy
matrix system are presented to verify the proposed formulation. The study shows that there is a significant effect of the
piezoelectric parameter and embedded fibre length on stress transfer, electric field distribution and load-displacement curve
of the frictional sliding process. This study also indicates that the piezoelectric effect has a distinct influence on the

This study focuses on the development of a methodology for the determination of some in situ parameters for off-road vehicle mobility on sandy soils. The stress field in the vicinity of and at the interface between a wedge and soil was determined by solving the stress equations using the method of characteristics. The governing equations were solved numerically by using backward finite difference method. The proposed method allows the prediction of any two of the in situ soil parameters δ, φ, and γ (respectively, the interfacial friction angle between the material of a wedge penetrometer and the soil, the internal friction angle, and the unit weight of the soil), given the value of any one of them and the results of penetration tests of two different apex angle wedges. An asymptotic analysis is presented for a dynamic problem of a semi-infinite isotropic thermoelastic solid with a small surface breaking crack. The exterior surface of the solid is subjected to a series of short thermal pulses. The crack surface is traction free and an ideal thermal contact is assumed across the crack. The stress intensity factor is asymptotically evaluated as a function of the crack depth and time. The effect of a boundary layer associated with the diffusive term is identified. Direct numerical simulations were conducted to investigate the behavior of heavy particles in homogeneous isotropic turbulence. The present study focused on the effect of particle inertia and drift on the autocorrelations of the particle velocity and the fluid seen by particles and the dispersion characteristics of particles. The Lagrangian integral time scale of particles monotonically increased as the magnitude of the particle response time increased, while that of the fluid seen by particles remained relatively constant; it reached a maximum when the particle response time was close to the Kolmolgorov time scale of the flow. Particle dispersion increased as the particle inertia increased for small particles, while for larger particles, it decreased as particle inertia increased; particle eddy diffusion coefficient was maximal, and greater than that of the fluid by about 30%, at the preferential concentration. The concentration field of the particles with τp/τk≈1.0 showed that particles tend to collect in regions of low vorticity (high strain) due to preferential concentration. As the drift velocity of a particle is increased it crosses the paths of fluid elements more rapidly and will tend to lose correlation with its previous velocity faster than a fluid element will. And the correlation of particle velocities along the drift direction is more persistent than that perpendicular to the direction of drift. Simulations also showed that the continuity effect and the crossing-trajectory effect are weakened for particles with infinite inertia. 相似文献

The main contents of the paper are: (i) application of a predesigned parabolic function of transmission errors for reduction of noise, (ii) computerized simulation of noise caused by transmission errors, (iii) modification of the basic algorithm of tooth contact analysis, and (iv) application of approaches developed for enhanced design and simulation of meshing of the following gear drives: (a) spiral bevel gear drives, (b) face-gear drives (including an approach for grinding), and (c) modified helical gear drives. 采用Vardoulakis和Beskos提出的准饱和土体的波动控制方程,根据Helmholtz矢量分解定理,得到了准饱和土中P1波(快压缩波)、P2波(慢压缩波)和S波(剪切波)的波数的势函数表达式.将准饱和土体和圆形衬砌视为各向同性的均质体,运用波函数展开法将入射波、散射波和折射波的势函数展开成Fourier-Bessel函数的级数形式,根据准饱和土体与衬砌边界处应力和位移连续及衬砌内完全自由的边界条件,得到了平面P1波入射下,准饱和土体内深埋圆形衬砌的散射系数和折射系数的理论解,通过数值计算分析了饱和度对准饱和土体和衬砌的DSCF(动应力集中因子)及准饱和土体的PPCF(孔压集中因子)的影响规律,结果表明:准饱和土体的DSCF随着饱和度的增大而减小,衬砌的DSCF基本不受饱和度的影响,而准饱和土体的PPCF则随着饱和度的增大而增大. 相似文献
